Today President Monson was ordained the new prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after Pres. Hinckley passing on January 27.
Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uchtdorf were called as first and second counselors. I love and sustain these wonderful men of God as Pres. Monson counselors. I know together they will teach us and guide us according to Heavenly Father's will.
President B. Hinckley passed away today. This is a sad day for our LDS community throughout the world. President Hinckley taught me so much since I got baptized in 1998. I still remember his words when he said new converts needed three things- a friend, a responsibility, and nurturing with the good word of God. I was a newly convert and I felt he is was speaking directly to me.
I will miss his sweet smile and how he always waved his cane.
