Giovanna Mendes Bellini

October 29th,

7am: We arrive at Intermountain Women's Center in Murray. 

11:18pm: Giovanna is welcomed to this world.

Within these hours I had my water broken by my O.B, Dr. Lloyd, a painless but unsuccessful epidural, and an unsuccessful forceps. When Dr. Lloyd decided I needed a C-section, I couldn't even open my eyes; I was so tired I barely could keep myself awake during the procedure. But I heard my baby cry, I held her, then I blacked out.

Giovanna is the most precious baby in the entire world. I am so happy she is mine.

Baby Giovanna is here!

After over nine months waiting to see our baby girl's pretty face, Giovanna was finally induced this morning. She is beautiful and healthy.

I can't believe Halloween is just two days away! When I tell people my nurse was a witch no one believes me. Here is a picture to prove it.

After hours unsuccessfully trying a normal birth, the doctor decided I needed a C-section.

Giovanna came to this world on October 29th at 11:18pm weighing 7 pounds and 55 cm tall. We are so happy and grateful for this new chapter in our lives!

We are also grateful for grandma being here and for all her help.

Maternity photos

Our maternity photos are ready, and I am so excited to share them with you all. 

The photos were taken by our dear friend Mindy Brito at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we had a great time doing these photos. I am so happy we will forever have them to look back as our baby Giovi grows.

Giovanna’s baby shower

This past weekend, dear friends from our ward planned a sweet baby shower to celebrate baby Giovanna who’s coming soon.

We played games, opened presents, ate yummy food, and enjoyed each other's friendship and sisterhood. I absolutely love all the sisters in our ward. They are amazing and supportive.

Baby Giovanna got a lot of cute gifts. I felt grateful and humbled. 

Thank you Amber Orlandini and Liliana Souza for planning this beautiful baby shower. Thank you Sabrina for stepping in and taking pictures when I forgot my camera. Thank you Fabiana Horstmann for the delicious Brazilian treats. And thank you to all sisters from Relief Society for coming. Everything was fun and beautiful because of you!
