Favorite thing

 My favorite part of volunteering every Friday at Bianca’s school is getting to see her in the classroom.

Last day

 Today was my last day working at the Medical Surgical unit at Utah Valley Hospital. I leave Team 8 knowing I gave my very best to serve my patients and help our team. I learned so much on the floor and I am grateful for the near three years and a half I worked there.

I will miss my awesome co-workers and I hope to keep seeing them once in a while when I go to the hospital to drop off labs or do required education.

I am excited for this new chapter and I look forward to keep learning and growing on this amazing career.

Sleepover

The Brito girls came to sleepover while Mindy and Tales went out to celebrate his 43rd birthday. We met at the Marriott hotel in Orem to swim, then I drove the girls back to our house to spend the night.

Bianca made sure to get her room all ready for the sleepover. She is so cute and fun! She slept on her bed while I threw sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, and squishmallows on the floor for Giovi, Ellie, and Bella. They were so tired after swimming they were sound asleep short after prayers. 

I LOVE this friendship!

Two in a row

Yesterday, Giovanna asked to go to Classic Skating to meet her friend from school. Tonight we came back for Bianca's school family night. Since the girls got their roller blades they've been going to Classic Skating often.

Yesterday, the music was so LOUD we had to cover our ears! Thankfully, the DJ tonight was really good and the songs were tasteful and soft.

I love seeing the girls enjoying and improving their skating skills. I used to skate every day growing up. I should buy new ones for myself so I don't have to rent every time we go- they are not comfortable and they stink. 

Valentine's 2025

Our Valentine's traditions keep being one our family's favorite. This year I helped Bianca make a "Valentine's vending machine" box for her to take to school. I also printed some Valentine's card to hold hi-chew candies. It was probably one of the easiest and cutest valentines I have made for her class.

I am so sad I don't get to do these things with Giovanna anymore, but this year I made sure to pack her a heart shaped peanut butter sandwich for lunch.

We also had our traditional fondue. Unfortunately, after ten years our chocolate fountain is no longer working, so we had to improvise with my small melting & dipping electric pan- which worked just fine by the way. But Bianca missed the fountain.

I also wanted to surprise Ale this year and buy him flowers and chocolate- just like he does to me every year. This time I got to give to him first!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Today we had our traditional chocolate fountain planned but instead I cleaned the house and took Bianca to the salon to get a much needed hair cut.

Soon it will be Giovanna’s turn. Oh, and we will still be doing our chocolate fountain soon!

Umami

Dinner for four please!

Last Saturday we took the girls to a new Japanese barbeque restaurant- Umami in Vineyard. It is a all-you-can-eat meat type of restaurant, and the fun part is that you get to cook your own food. 

It is a bit expensive and we wanted the girls the have this experience. They really enjoyed it, but I told them that if they want to go back there they will need to find a job first. Haha

Dentist appointment

These girls deserve a 10 for taking a good care of their teeth.

Today at the dentist, they had cleaning done and had their teeth checked. Giovanna's appointment took a bit longer because she got sealing on four molars. Neither of them have any cavities. Hooray!
