Cherry Hill

For a long time I've been wanting to go to Cherry Hill Waterpark in Kaysville. This year I finally made it happen. At first I was extremely disappointed with their overpriced tickets for what they actually offer and the lack of maintenance throughout the park. But after going around it I felt a bit better.

The waterpark was FULL, and maybe that added to my frustration. But I didn't let that stop us from having fun. I encouraged the girls to try the slides and I even went with them (even though I hate heights).

I started liking the park a little better once we checked out the other attractions. Their Jungle Maze is huge and really fun. And so was the climbing wall. I had good laughs while unsuccessfully trying to climb it. The girls did a great job and had fun recording my embarrassing predicament.

One hour before the park closed we headed to the mini golfing. At that point the girls were tired and we  didn't do the full golfing course because it was also huge. It turns out that by the end of our time there I had mixed feelings if the price was worth it or not. I do think the waterpark could use a good renovation as everything looks aged- after all the park as open in 1978 and grew bigger through the 80s!

Camping 2025

One more camping trip for the books!

Ale left to Brazil and unfortunately missed our B&B annual camping. I worked half a day and when we got to Heber City it was already dark and raining. Tales helped us set up the tent in the dark and under rain- bless his heart.

The Lodgepole campground is our favorite spot to camp because it is private enough to feel away from the city but still close enough in case we need it. The girls had fun together and we all relaxed laying on the hammock, eating snacks, and watching the stars at night.

Mindy and I organized who would cook what and since we would camp for a couple of days we both prepared breakfast and dinner. We had foiled meal, hotdogs, Dutch oven breakfast, pancakes, and bacon. We were very well fed.

We also slept super well. I bought a king size mattress and the three of us fit just fine. We were warm and comfy. The nights there were so pretty with a sky full of beautiful stars. I could not stop looking at them. In the morning, we all headed to Strawberry Reservoir to kayak.

This camping trip was the best yet. We had a really great time. Can't wait for next year's!

FSY- Giovanna

Giovanna participated in five days of devotionals, classes, and activities focused on Jesus Christ.

On Thursday she called to say she was homesick. This was the first time Giovi spent one entire week away from us. I was missing her terribly but I encouraged her to finish strong and really take this time to focus on herself and on this unique experience.

On Saturday morning Ale went to pick her up. She was so excited to be back home and tell us all about her days at FSY. She brought home many beautiful memories along with a stronger testimony of the reality of the gospel. I couldn’t be more proud.
