Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween and I was beyond excited to celebrate it with my mom and my sister! This Halloween season we were able to participate in several fun activities together.

-We built an awesome Halloween spooky house. It was our first time doing it and we loved it. I am sure it will become a new tradition for us.

-We trick-or-treated in Lehi with the Matute family. My mom sewed our costumes specially for this event. They turned out INCREDIBLE! My mom is leaving them here afterwards and I am so excited to wear each one of them for the next few Halloweens!

-And of course we celebrated Giovanna's eight birthday with our traditional Halloween dinner. I can express how grateful I am for being able to share this special occasion with two of the people I love the most. My sister who is a wonderful cake designer, made the coolest cake for Giovi.

My heart if full.

Happy Halloween!

Dia de la Hispanidad

Last Saturday our ward hosted el Dia de la Hispanidad, a missionary activity where everybody in the county is invited to participate. We had Hispanic typical dances and food. It was a beautiful night!

My mom and my sister joined me and a friend from Mexico in a Brazilian dance. We performed a typical dance from northern part of Brazil, region of Para called Carimbo. Everybody was expecting us to dance Samba, but I wanted to show something different. After all Brazil is so much more than that! We had a blast spinning our rounded skirts and sharing a little about our amazing culture.

Witches Night Out

Tonight my mom, my sister and I went to witches night out at Gardner village. Ale stayed with the kids at home and I got to enjoy my girls all night long!

We danced, visited the stores, interacted with other witches, took a lot of fun pictures, and danced so more. I loved our time together!

It was a great night! I even saw some dads and little kids with their families. I might take my peeps next time.

Back to Utah

We made our way back to Utah. Our trip was quick and great! After picking up my mom and my sister at the airport we drove around the Strip- Vegas, and took a few pictures. We had dinner at Taco Bell (my mom's favorite) then we drove to LaVerkin to spend the night.

The next morning after breakfast we checked out the hotel and drove to the beautiful Zion National Park. It was a busy day at the Zion with a lot of shuttle delays and constructions. Because of that and because of the little time we had to spend there (our rental car needed to be returned by 11pm) we weren't able to explore Zion the way it deserves to be explored.

But we were able to see a lot, and my sister who was visiting Zion for the first time was amazed by its majestic views. It was a beautiful day with blue sky and warm sun. We were all grateful for being alive, healthy, and together at such an amazing place. Heavenly Father's creations are truly wonderful!

We went up to Temple of Sinawava and hiked the Riverside Walk. Then my sister and I decided to try the Narrows while my mom stayed at the end of the trial waiting for us. The water was COLD! But we were able to cross a good distance. My sister loved the experience, even though her legs hurt a lot with cramps caused by the freezing water.

Then with the last hours we had available we hiked the Watchman Trail. When we got back to the visitor center it was time to get the car and hit the road back to Sat Lake.
