Baby Ava’s blessing- quarantine days 48-50

This Sunday we joined the Matute family on zoom to participate on their baby girl's blessing.

Naming and blessing of children at church is a sacred moment when worthy Melchizedek priesthood holders take their babies in their arms and give them a name and a blessing, accordingly with the teachings in Doctrine and Covenants 20:70:

"Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name".

With the coronavirus and the social distance still going on, family and friends from Utah, Ohio, Florida, and Honduras were able to watch baby Ava being blessed by her loving father.

Technology has been a huge help in these difficult times, and I am grateful for that.

Tomorrow is Mindy’s birthday and we are planning a fun surprise for her!
