I was revisiting some pictures of the girl's birthday parties and paying a special attention to their birthday cakes. For almost every birthday I baked and frosted their cake myself. As you can tell I am no baker, but I had so much fun making them! And I guess it will bring happiness and a good laugh when they grow up.

I've been thinking how big the girls are getting and reflecting on all good memories we've been creating throughout these years. Raising a family has been a honor, privilege, and joy that I am deeply grateful for.

Often times Bianca asks me if I like being a mom. The answer is always the same: I love it! Some days are hard and I feel like sending each of them to their room for a whole week, but I've always wanted to be a mom and I feel so blessed for being able to be one.

Watching them grow and helping them to be the best version of themselves makes my heart full. Sister Sheri L. Dew former second counselor of the Relief Society General Presidency said:
"As daughters of our Heavenly Father, and as daughters of Eve, we are all mothers and we have always bee mothers. And we each have the responsibility to love and help lead the rising generation. How will our young women learn to live as women of God unless they see what women of God look like, meaning what we wear, watch, and read; how we fill our time and our minds; how we face temptation and uncertainty; where we find true joy; and why modesty and femininity are hallmarks of righteous women? How will our young mean learn to value women of God if we don't show them the virtue of our virtues? Every one of us has an overarching obligation to model righteous womanhood because our youth may not see it anywhere else".
