Stuff the Bus 2018

About two months ago I registered our family to volunteer at Stuff the Bus- a project organized by United Way of Salt Lake with the objective to help students of thirty different schools from Granite district get ready to go back to school this Fall.

Last Saturday we woke up early and drove to Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy to meet hundreds of other volunteers to stuff backpacks with school supplies for thousands of students in our community. The girls were really excited since I told them we would be helping other children to go to school.

We stuffed several backpacks with notebook, folders, pencils, pens, eraser, glue, markers and crayons. The girls even draw some cute book markers with messages for the students who will be receiving the backpacks. Their good will to help others fills my heart with gratitude.

It was great being part of this project. They were extremely organized, and the whole environment was perfect for families. I absolutely loved volunteering there. We all did! And we are looking forward for the next one!
