Ophthalmologist

In 2015 we took Giovanna to the Ophthalmologist for the first time to have a bump on her right eyelid checked. At that time the doctor diagnosed her with stye. We were hoping it would go away in a few days with regular warm washcloths compresses, but it never did.

It turns out the bump has been there for the past four years and the ophthalmologist still doesn’t recommend surgery to remove it. She still doesn’t recommend surgery for her crossed eye when she looks far up either. She says a surgery on her far peripheral can compromise her central vision.

My mom and I always play Giovanna is an reincarnation of my grandma Mercedes. She reminds us a lot of her, including her left crossed eye.

Anyways, the doctor still wants to see her every year, and if anything changes she'll might consider surgery.
