 I am SO excited to share this news with you.

I got a position to work as a CNA at Utah Valley Hospital. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and for all the blessings our family has been receiving these past weeks.

I am looking forward to soon share how I (we) got here. 

Pool Friday- Covid-19 day 538

Hurray, it’s Friday!!!

Today after school, I took the girls to the rec center to swim. Friday is a great day to do it since they have school early out and no homework.

Remember when Giovi was little and we used to go to the rec center every Friday? 

Camp Piuta- Covid-19 day 535

 Last weekend we headed to the beautiful Uinta Mountains to gather as family and friends and enjoy good company, good food, and good laughs.

Mindy's uncle and aunt are responsible for Camp Piuta where our church's  Young Women Camp takes place. With the camp site closing for the season, brother and sister Phillips wanted to gather family and friends for a delightful weekend together.

I am so grateful for these people in my life. They are truly wonderful, and I felt the Spirit so strong the whole time I was there with them. Their love, service, and devotion to their calling and God inspire me.

The girls had a blast. They tried archery for the first time, and I couldn't believe how fast they learned and how well they did it. I tried it too, and I gave up after my arrows started flying way too high or to the woods.

We slept in a big lodge with plenty of space to play, and plenty of bunk beds so the girls wouldn’t fight to sleep on the top one. After putting the kids to bed, we played Skull King under lantern lights.

Next year we will be doing this again. I can't wait.

One last time - Covid-19 day 534

Today after school homework and reading were done, I took the girls to the pool one last time before it closes for the season.

Every year our pool closes after Labor day, and that’s how we know Summer is over, and Fall is around the corner.

I love Fall! Y’all already know that, right? I am excited for Halloween and Thanksgiving. We were incredibly blessed these last couple years, and we have so many reasons to be thankful for.

Soon I will dedicate one whole post about it to share with all of you.

Tchau- Covid-19 day 531

 We are headed to the Mountains. We are spending the night at Piuta Camp on the beautiful Uinta- Mountains. No electronics, no reception, just us and the nature.

I have the feeling I will have the best weekend.

Birthday gifts- Covid-19 day 3530

Bianca’s been enjoying her birthday gifts so much!

I found her the cutest camping set from Doug & Melissa. It comes with fire, s’mores, sticks, and a cooler. She is obsessed with it, and we “camp” every day now.

She also got several STEAM projects (per request). I am excited to work on them with her. She loves making new experiments.

She’s been asking for Egyptian things, so I decided to buy her a pyramid made of clay, where she can dig to find “fossils”. It is fun, and Giovanna’s been diligently working on it to help her sister find them.

I love that I still get to plan birthdays for Bianca. Last year Giovanna decided not to have parties anymore. So this year we will keep it low key and just have a nice dinner as a family at one of her favorite restaurant.

Bianca’s 6th birthday- Covid-19 day 529

 For this year I threw a camping birthday party for Bianca. She loves camping and wanted to camp for her birthday. Because of all the smoke in the mountains and fire alert/restrictions, we decided to throw a party with the same theme.

It was the best idea! Everything turned out really cute! A big shout out to the Matutes who let us use their home again.

We set up a couple of tent in the backyard, and had activities inside them. We read spook stories and each child got their own lantern.

Later on we roasted some marshmallows and s’mores. The kids had a blast! 

Happy birthday beautiful girl! You are loving and energetic. You are so smart you will do great things!

Bibi is SIX- Covid-19 day 528

Happy birthday to our beautiful princess! She turns six today.

She is smart, energetic, communicative, fearless, and so loving. She has a strong personality and a big heart. She reminds me a lot of her daddy and her aunt, my sister Carol.

We love you baby girl, and we are so deeply grateful for being your parents! You are a sunshine that bright our days. Now, let's spoil you!

Back to school- Covid-19 day 527

And just like that the girls are back to school. Bianca starts first grade and Giovanna fifth grade. I can't believe in a couple of years Giovanna will be entering middle school.

I confess I was happy with the idea of having some time for myself while they would be in school, but as soon as they left the car, my heart started aching a little. Seven hours is a really long time away from them!

Last week the girls met their teachers, and the changes they made in the classrooms. I love their school, and I am so grateful we made the decision to have them there.

Still fighting- Covid-19 day 524

Splash Summit- Covid-19 day 523

 So happy and grateful to be able to take the fam and spend the day at the pool on a week day.

We drove to Provo to check the Splash Summit, former Seven Peaks. After Seven Peaks closed, we never came back. But, the new Splash Summit is really fun; they kept some things and added others like new slides and features.

We had a great time!

Tomorrow is Friday, and I’ll be working all day on Bianca’s birthday party on Saturday.
