Pool time
The days have been SO HOT! And that calls for pool time. I've been thinking about starting working on Mondays, but I will hold that thought until summer break is over. I usually plan fun things to do with the girls on Mondays I have off.

Bella gets baptized
Bella is eight. What a beautiful young girl she is becoming. I love her and her sweet spirit.
"The ordinances of baptism and the sacrament symbolize both the end result and process of being born again. In baptism, we bury the old man of flesh and come forth to a newness of life".

Swimming with friends
We finally had the Brito girls for a sleepover. We had hot dogs and watermelon for lunch, and the kids had a great time swimming in the pool. I am so grateful for this friendship!

How to train your dragon
Today we met with the Britos at the movies to celebrate Bella's eighth birthday. I can't believe she is already eight. Time is flying and I am getting old!
Happy Birthday Bella. We love you!

This is the Place
Today we drove to This is the Place to find it packed with people. There were cars parked on the side of the road all the way up to the Pioneer Center. Apparently, we were unaware today was free entrance to all.
Fortunately, we were able to find a parking spot easily and it was fun being around people. I feel like after Covid and as I age I don't have as much patience for crowds as I used to. But today at This is the Place there was a good, manageable amount of people to still be fun. The girls were able to do and see things just fine. And the good part of having membership is that we don't really need to rush to see everything in one visit.
There is still a lot more to see and explore. We will be coming back soon.

The Little Mermaid- Tuacahn 2025
Back in February I got tickets for us to watch The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. I remember going with Mindy when we didn't have kids yet and falling in love with it. So when Tuacahn announced The Little Mermaid I knew I had to take Ale and the girls.
We left on Thursday and we got to St. George at the night of the show and it was raining! As usual Tuacahn does not cancel the show until the very last minute. Fortunately, the show was not cancelled and despite of some drips here and there the show was absolutely amazing and we all enjoyed it very much.
The girls didn't bring any pants and once they started complaining they would be cold I told them to wear their pajamas (which explain their awesome outfits).
They changed a few things and they are no longer using real water during the show. The water was replaced by big screens, which I thought it would take away all the beauty of The Little Mermaid. But they did a really good job in not overusing it. The show is still incredibly beautiful and worth it.
Then we spent the weekend with grandpa and grandma Barber. The girls love being with them! Grandma Marylynn makes sure they are busy and happy, and I am so grateful for them in our lives.
We had a special dinner at Painted Pony to celebrate my birthday. Then grandma helped the girls bake and frost a cake to sing happy birthday to me.
