This past weekend I enjoyed my favorite weekend of the year: General Conference. I LOVE being with my family gathered around the TV to watch and listen to the servants of the Lord. I also love being under the blankets in the comfort of our home.
During the Saturday conference sessions I gave the girls "conference money" to buy treats as they pay attention, took notes, and truly engaged in learning from the talks.
Last year I set up a General Conference Store at home. This year I took the girls to the grocery store. They were allowed to get whatever they wanted as long as they could pay with the total amount they earned during the sessions. Giovi earned $11 and Bianca $8. I also got a few more things for our traditional ice cream Sunday.
This year we were considering going to the Conference Center in Salt Lake to watch the General Conference there, but we decided to stay home after all. Maybe next year. I think the girls would really enjoy it.
