For our fourteenth anniversary, Ale took me on a date. Mindy stayed with the girls for us, and we headed to downtown Salt Lake.
Ale kept the place we were going to a secret until we got there. It was a nice surprise. We had a great time at White Horse Spirits & Kitchen.
We tried new cuisine and carried a conversation without being interrupted by kids, spills, and occasional sibling fights. (Sometimes loving parents need a break, and it’s okay).
Our menu for the night:
Egg N’ Chips • house potato chips, 63 degrees egg, and malt vinegar powder
Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts • pork belly lardons, roasted peanuts, soy bonito broth, and dynamite sauce
Buffalo Roasted Cauliflower • gorgonzola crème fraiche
Then we finshed our course meal with a delicious Wagyu Steak with roasted potatoes, grilled broccolini, gorgonzola butter, and bordelaise sauce.
After our wonderful dinner, we took our time walking through the streets of downtown watching the beautiful sunset.
