Ale and I had been thinking we should do something fun for summer break. After checking our schedules and considering how a trip at this point would impact my studies, we decided to go on a road trip to Yellowstone.
Today, I came back home from work, showered, got our rental car, and packed it all before the girls were awake. Then off we went on our new adventure. I caught up on my sleep while Ale drove the 320 miles or so till Yellowstone.
We stayed right next to the West entrance. On our first day we were lucky enough to see TONS of Bisons! They were literally everywhere. It was great, specially because on the following days they were all gone.
Our first stop was the Old Faithful. I was looking forward to go there because that was "a must see" in every search I did online for this trip. And we were not disappointed. Old Faithful is beautiful.
We also visited the much anticipated Grand Prismatic Spring. It was Bianca's favorite! The Midway Geyser Basil trailhead is magnificent! The Sapphire Pool was as beautiful as I have imagined.
The pools are HOT! And I confess I felt like touching the water a couple of times just to see. Haha. It is incredible how they can be that naturally hot.
We finished our day at the Black Sand Basil. It started getting a little chilly as the sun started to set.
