Colonial Heritage Festival

Every year the Orem City holds a three day Colonial Heritage Festival to celebrate Fourth of July. First time we attended the festival we were living in Alpine. This year I was surprised to see how much it has grown. Since Giovanna is in summer school we took Bianca on the 3rd then we went back with Giovi on the 4th.

On the Fourth we parked our car at the Orem High School and took the shuttle to the Festival. The kids love taking trains, buses and shuttles. For some reason they think it is so much fun.

We spent three hours there and the girls learned how to make ropes and candles, played games and climbed on tanks and trucks. There was so much to do! When the kids were done we had lunch at Arby's then all of us had a nap. Later on we headed to Lehi to spend our traditional Fourth of July with the Matute family.

I love this country! Happy Fourth of July!
